The resistance of the Ukrainians, the army as well as civilians, continues to slow down the Russian offensive on Friday March 4. But how long will they last?
A residential building in the north of Kiev (Ukraine) is completely devastated by the bombardments. The conflict is bogged down and does not spare civilians after nine days of war, Friday, March 4. A few meters from the building, a burning house has just been hit by a bomb. Residents try to save clothes and furniture. “I leave my whole life here, my whole life has gone up in flames”explodes in anger a Ukrainian, in tears.
Unlike the early days, no more building is a shelter. The Russians even bombed an elementary school. A whole neighborhood was blown up by the explosions. Civilians are sometimes trapped between exchanges of fire. A civilian was also killed instantly in her car. In the north, the Russian offensive advances slowly, but in the south, their progress is more marked. Mariupol (Ukraine) is surrounded and the town of Kherson (Ukraine) is now in Russian hands.
