“We have now reached the 3 million mark in terms of population movements out of Ukraine,” IOM spokesperson Paul Dillon said at a regular UN press briefing.

Of this total number of refugees, more than 1.4 million are children according to UNICEF figures, and 157,000 are nationals of other countries fleeing Ukraine, IOM said.

Poland is the country hosting by far the largest number of people – more than half – fleeing the war started by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
