War in Ukraine | Kremlin accuses Kyiv of wanting to assassinate Putin with drones

(Moscow) Russia said on Wednesday it shot down two Ukrainian drones trying to attack the Kremlin, denouncing an assassination attempt on Vladimir Putin a few days before military celebrations in Moscow.

During the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, “two drones which targeted the Kremlin” were “decommissioned thanks to the use of radar systems”, according to the Russian presidency. “We see these actions as an attempted terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the president” Vladimir Putin, added the Kremlin, specifying that the latter had not been injured.
