In occupied cities in Ukraine, Russian forces face resistance from civilians. In the region of Mykolaiva Ukrainian couple in their sixties chased young Russian soldiers out of their homes.

Voznessensk35,000 inhabitants, is a small town now known throughout Ukraine. The town is the pride of the country for having routed the Russian army two weeks ago. Its streets still bear the scars of fierce fighting, but the enemy is well on its way. A resistance that has found his hero: Volodymyr Doskar. Thanks to his surveillance cameras, he captured a surreal scene, which has gone viral.

As Russian soldiers break into their home, the sixty-year-old and his wife go to meet them and force them to leave. With composure, they accompany them back to the gate. They didn’t expect to be greeted like this. Normally, when we see soldiers with weapons, we are afraid, but they saw that we were not afraid”says Volodymyr Doskar. Faced with resistance from the couple, the soldiers fired into the air, without managing to scare them.
