In Kremenchuk, Ukraine, a shopping center was hit by a Russian missile on Monday, June 27. This bombardment killed 18 people.
It is a shock for the inhabitants of Kremenchuk (Ukraine). Monday, June 27, the city’s shopping center was destroyed by a Russian missile. The population is shocked, like the jeweler in the center, who testifies. “There was an air raid, we ran for the exit, then three minutes later there was the explosion.” The five-ton, eleven-meter missile claimed 18 lives and left only debris behind. Rescuers are working to find any survivors in the rubble.
Russian authorities claimed they were not targeting the mall. “According to Moscow, it was an ammunition depot that was targeted”explains journalist Agnès Vahramian, duplex from Ukraine, Tuesday, June 28. “There was no ammunition here and we have not produced any military equipment for over 30 years”indicates the director of the factory. The Russian army also specifies that the shopping center was no longer in service, information that the Ukrainians deny.
