For a month, Shaïma Abou Ghatar, a Gazan mother, visits her premature daughter every day in a hospital in the new administrative capital ofEgypt. Suffering from intestinal damage, the child remains under observation. In this department of the hospital, 24 premature babies born in Gaza were taken care of, and their lives were thus saved.

The mothers sleep in the hospital. The twins of Sasoussane Abu Aoucha are now out of danger. Today, the mother wonders about her future. “In reality, I would almost be ready to return to Gaza with my daughters to be reunited with my husband, but at the same time, I am afraid. The situation is not stable, and there are bombings 24 hours a day“, she explains. These babies born under the bombings are safe for the moment, but no one knows if they will ever see the Gaza Strip.
