On October 7, little Kfir, aged nine months, was kidnapped by terrorists. Since then, his fate has mobilized an entire country. His family eagerly awaits his release.

Kfir Bibas is the youngest hostage. Aged nine months, he was kidnapped along with his four-year-old brother Ariel and their mother Shiri Bibas. The fate of this family mobilizes crowds in Israel. “A nine-month-old baby kidnapped. I can’t stay passive at home”, testifies a woman. Another confides: “As a mother and grandmother, when I see the photos of these little ones, my heart is in pieces.” The story of these children went around the world with a video shot by Hamas.

A family waiting

On the morning of October 7, we see armed men and civilians storming the house of Bibas. We see Shiri, the mother, surrounded by her captors. In Arabic, they shout that they wish him no harm. In her arms, she hugs her children, then she disappears from the video. For 53 days, the family has had no news. She is waiting for proof of life. Wednesday November 29, KfirAriel and Shiri will not be released. They are believed to be held by a group other than Hamas in Gaza.
