They arrived in Bangkok (Thailand)Finally. Their face is exhausted, but happy. For four weeks, 91 Thais have been stuck in Israel. “I I’m so happy, I have no other words. I am so happy”testifies a man. Since the start of the crisis, Bangkok claims to have brought back more than 7,000 Thais in 34 repatriation planes. This trip was paid for by the Thai authorities for these agricultural workers, hired on Israeli farms.
Hope for a better life
“All at nights, I heard bombs. They fell very close to my house. Thailand is really calm.” confides a man who says to himself “relieved”. These workers will be flown back to their village. They mostly come from poor regions in northern Thailand.
