A scene that has become commonplace in downtown Ashkelon (Israel), Thursday October 26. The neighborhood was hit by rocket fire two days earlier. The damage is still visible everywhere. Ashkelon has long been the city hardest hit by Hamas rockets. Since the attacks of October 7, the situation has only gotten worse. “This place has become a ghost town, it’s really depressing. Nothing is the same now. Thank God we are not in Gaza, the situation is much worse for those who were taken there”testifies a resident.
