Sunday October 22, under Palestinian flags, a single slogan. An immediate ceasefire is what demonstrators came to demand at Place de la République in Paris. Some have relatives in Palestine, like Gabrielle. “The world is watching what is happening in Palestine. They are not alone,” says the one who feels a “feeling of helplessness”. The demonstrators responded to the call of a collective which brings together around forty organizations, including unions and political parties.
A new mobilization next Saturday
“Together we can demand a ceasefire immediate, demand the release of the hostages, obviously demand an end to the bombing and the state of siege on Gaza,” proclaims the MP LFI Aurélie Trouvé. According to the police headquarters, there were 15,000, 30,000 for the organizers. They gathered for this first pro-Palestine demonstration authorized in the capital. A new mobilization is announced next Saturday.
