(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened with a very modest increase on Thursday after a new sign of inflation, more sustained than expected, which pushed up bond rates.
The Dow Jones index rose 0.11%, the technology-dominated NASDAQ gained 0.27% and the S&P 500 gained 0.07% at 9:35 a.m.
