Wall Street opens higher after a sharp fall the day before

(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened in the green on Wednesday after a dark session the day before, weighed down by the technology sector: the Dow Jones advanced by 0.35%, the NASDAQ by 0.59%.

On Tuesday, the NASDAQ, where highly rate-sensitive technology stocks are concentrated, fell 2.60% to 14,506.90 points, worried about rising interest rates. The Dow Jones index was down 1.51% at 35,368.47 points and the S&P 500 was down 1.84% at 4577.11 points.

Bond rates on 10-year US Treasury bills stabilized near their highest in two years at 1.85% against 1.87% the day before.
