Wall Street opens divided, close to balance while waiting for the Fed

(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened in dispersed order, but close to equilibrium, on Wednesday pending the decision on key rates from the US central bank (Fed).


The Dow Jones index advanced 0.12% and the S&P 500 0.04%, the tech-dominated NASDAQ fell 0.09%.

The day before, the indices had concluded higher, the Dow Jones having gained 0.30% to 34,108.64 points, the NASDAQ 1.01% to 11,256.81 points and the S&P 500 having gained 0.73% to 4019.65 points.
