Wall Street down slightly after several sessions of decline

(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened in the red on Tuesday after four consecutive sessions of decline and an unexpected adjustment in monetary policy by the Bank of Japan.


The Dow Jones lost 0.08%, the NASDAQ 0.42% and the S&P 500 0.25% a few minutes after opening.

On Monday, brooding over recession fears, the Dow Jones index was down 0.49% at 32,757.54 points, the tech-heavy NASDAQ was down 1.49% at 10,546.03 points and the S&P 500 , had dropped 0.90% to 3817.66 points, the lowest in two months.
