(New York) The New York Stock Exchange indices opened slightly lower on Wednesday, pausing after several sessions on the rise and monitoring with measured hope the discussions between Russia and Ukraine: the Dow Jones dropped 0.18% , the NASDAQ lost 0.46%.

Oil prices were on the rise again. The day before, the Dow Jones had gained 0.97%, signing its tenth advance in twelve sessions and ending at 35,294.19 points, believing in diplomatic advances on Ukraine. The NASDAQ index, with a strong technological orientation, had taken 1.84% to 14,619.64 points. And the broader S&P 500 index, 1.23% to 4631.60 points.
