After M6, W9 ! If you haven’t had the chance to see William Karel’s documentary entitled Johnny by Laeticiathe ninth channel offers you the opportunity to watch it this Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Indeed, the documentary which was initially broadcast on December 8, 2022 on M6 will be rebroadcast on the “little sister”, to the delight of Taulier fans. This report, separated into two parts, retraces the 20 years of life together between Johnny And Laeticia Hallyday.
For two decades, the lovebirds have filmed each other in their daily lives, with family, during evenings with friends or in their moments of intimacy in love. Director William Karel had to untangle nearly 700 hours of recordings to create a 100-minute “film” and paint an intimate portrait of the Taulier, “in all its modesty and splendour”as pointed out M6.

Johnny Hallyday, as we have never seen him
The documentary also includes interviews with Laeticia Hallydaywhere she confides in particular on her relationship with Johnny. She also talks about their marriage in 1996 and especially the adoption of their two daughters, Jade and Joy. For the first time, the two girls, usually very discreet about their relationship with their father, agreed to confide in the cameras of M6. Viewers will also be able to witness the first meeting between Jade and her parents.
A moving moment in which Johnny Hallyday is sincere and very emotional. “They put her in my arms, she had two little black eyes, and she stared at me”he confides behind the camera before continuing: “Then Laeticia took her in her arms and she fell asleep in Laeticia’s arms on her shoulder, I will always remember that. I must say that since we had our little Jade, it’s true that even I have become completely doting.” See you on July 26 at 9:05 p.m. with a full box of tissues!
Jade and the controversy surrounding her adoption
Nevertheless, this sequence risks reigniting the controversy. In June 2023, Patrick Roussel, ex-driver of Johnnypublished a book entitled Everyone called him Johnny. According to him, the couple would have “Filled in the files, participated in the traditional interviews with the head of a social center and a psychologist, then received the regulatory visits to their homes” for the adoption of their daughters. However, they would have “benefited from an acceleration of the procedures and obtained another not insignificant privilege”.
In addition, the driver also states in his book that any “was written in advance” : “Some couples who go to adopt abroad have no guarantee of returning with a child, or do not know the duration of their stay there. Johnny and Laeticia had this guarantee.” This controversy could well resurface when the report is broadcast to the “greatest happiness” of the couple’s detractors…
