The prefecture of Vienne indicates this Wednesday, December 8 that around 50 people from the Bellefois primary school in Neuville-de-Poitou, north of Poitiers, “have digestive symptoms (including pain and vomiting) as well as headache“since this Tuesday evening. Pupils from several classes and extracurricular adults are concerned.
There is no serious case or requiring hospitalization at this stage according to the prefecture. Analyzes are in progress to identify the origin of this situation. A disinfection of the premises was also carried out this Tuesday afternoon by the municipal services.
Three school canteens closed this Thursday
In its press release, the prefecture informs that there will be no school catering this Thursday, December 9 for the Bellefois, Jules Ferry and Les Petits Cailloux primary schools in Neuville-de-Poitou, “catering agents being unavailable“.
