This new model, presented as a sports SUV, will be officially unveiled in October and the first units will be assembled in Chinese and American factories next year. It goes without saying that with this model, the Swedish manufacturer aspires to attract an even wider clientele. Only one model is currently offered by Polestar, the Polestar 2 sedan.

Apart from the image of a rather dynamic profile that features a receding roofline that embraces very wide rear pillars, very little is known about this newcomer. Polestar claims a range of 600 km in the European cycle (WLTP) and the use of laser remote sensing for semi-autonomous driving. Two motors will also be used to provide all-wheel drive. To be continued.

Polestar 2 BST edition 270

At the same time, the brand of electric vehicles has announced a special edition of its Polestar 2 called BST edition 270. Modeled on the example exhibited last year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it features two electric motors producing 476 hp in total, i.e. a gain of 74 hp compared to the version with two standard engines.

It also receives the contribution of adjustable Öhlins shock absorbers and is slightly lowered (25 mm) to ensure a more incisive road behavior in concert with a strut bar at the front. Barely 20 copies will arrive in Canada towards the end of the year out of the 270 copies produced. The starting price is set at $90,000.
