Monday January 15, Volodymyr Zelensky was received by the Swiss authorities, who are working alongside him to organize a summit for peace in Ukraine. “We hope that this summit will give impetus to peace and that the end of the war will restore justice”, declared the Ukrainian president. The latter will join heads of state and entrepreneurs in Davos (Switzerland) on Tuesday, on the occasion of the World Economic Forum. Volodymyr Zelensky wants to convince them to continue to financially support his country.
The anger of Romanian farmers
In Romania, the anger of farmers does not weaken. For six days, they have been blocking the roads and causing traffic jams. They demand that their productions be better paid, while they have to face Moldovan competition. Truck drivers have also joined the movement, due to the price of diesel and insurance which fuels their discontent.
