While Vladimir Putin camped on his positions, Saturday March 12, Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged the loss of 1,300 Ukrainian soldiers, and mentioned greater losses on the Russian side.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday March 12 that Vladimir Putin was already the big loser in the conflict. “[Il] said he was 100% sure of victory, but, he told his people today, 100% too I can’t tell you when it’s going to happen”reports Agnès Vahramian, special correspondent in Kiev (Ukraine).
If he thinks Vladimir Putin has already lost the war, that’s “because she is immoral”and also because the whole world “call him to support him”, continues the journalist. The Ukrainian president then thanked the French people, and hinted at a certain closeness with his French counterpart. “He said: ‘I asked Emmanuel today to call Vladimir Putin, and to ask him in particular to release the Ukrainian mayors whom he took prisoner'”, he would have told reporters. Finally, Volodymyr Zelensky is still asking Europe to close Ukrainian airspace.
