The meeting between Pope Francis and Volodymyr Zelensky began with a warm handshake this Saturday, May 13 in Rome (Italy). A symbolic meeting that lasted an hour between the two men. “I met Pope Francis. Arrived in the morning, Volodymyr Zelensky was welcomed by the head of Italian diplomacy. He then went to the Quirinal Palace to meet with his counterpart Sergio Mattarella. The Ukrainian President then gave a press conference with Prime Minister Giorga Meloni who recalled that “the future of Ukraine can only be European”. Direction now Germany for Volodymyr Zelensky to meet the German Chancellor there.
