The war in Ukraine has entered its third year. “Victory depends on you,” Volodymyr Zelensky told his Western allies during a conference on Sunday February 25.
In front of the press from all over the world, Volodymyr Zelensky affirms that Ukraine will win. “We do not have the possibility of losing, that would mean that we would no longer exist. Our victory depends on our Western allies. If we receive new weapons, we will not lose this war.”, declared the Ukrainian president. During the press conference, he also wanted to thank France for the cannons provided, as well as the other allied countries.
Two years of war
The day before, Saturday February 26, Canada announced aid of 2 billion euros. Great Britain was able to release 287 million euros, while Italy signed a security agreement. Europe also promised to strengthen its support for Ukraine. “Europe will continue to stand by your side for as long as necessary.”assured Ursula Van der Leyen, the president of the European Commission.
On Friday February 23, numerous demonstrations of support took place in kyiv (Ukraine), Spain, the United States and France. According to the Ukrainian president, more than 30,000 soldiers have died since the start of the war two years ago.
