Volodymyr Zelensky calls for banning Russia from ‘all ports’ and ‘airports in the world’

“The entrance to such a state must be closed to all ports, all canals and all airports in the world.” In a video posted on Facebook Monday, February 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls for new sanctions from the international community against Russia, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He also asked her to “consider a total closure of the sky for Russian missiles, planes and helicopters”.

“This evil, armed with missiles, bombs and artillery, must be stopped immediately. And destroyed economically, to show that humanity is capable of defending itself”, underlined the Ukrainian president. He also denounced the Russian bombings that targeted Ukrainian territory on Monday, when the Russian and Ukrainian delegations met for the first time in Belarus since the start of the invasion on Thursday.

According to the Ukrainian President, Ukraine “hasn’t had a result that she would like to have” at the end of the first round of discussion on Monday, but referred to his “counter-proposals” to those of the Russians “to end the war”. The delegations returned for “consultations in their capitals” respective, after agreeing to want a “second round” of talks.
