Operating in a particularly competitive segment, the Volkswagen ID.4 recently detailed the modifications it has undergone to make it more resilient in the face of essentially American and Korean attacks. Power and efficiency are on the menu for 2024, without forgetting the technological aspect.
While the standard two-wheel drive liveries remain mechanically unchanged, the optional Pro versions receive an all-new engine producing 282 hp at 402 lb-ft of torque on its own. It is the result of a complete overhaul of the internal parts. The all-wheel drive version thus sees its total power increase to 335 hp thanks to the addition of a second front motor.
These various changes increase the range of the rear-wheel-drive Pro liveries to 468 km (+25 km) and 423 km for the twin-engine ones (+13 km). On the more technological side, they are also now enhanced with a new 12.9-inch infotainment screen with revised controls for the heating/air conditioning system. On sale now at a starting price of $48,495 before incentives are deducted.
