Just over five years after the sensational ID.Buzz concept was presented at the Detroit Auto Show, Volkswagen is finally about to officially unveil the modern, all-electric reinterpretation of the famous Volkswagen Type 2.
Everything will take place on March 9, as announced on Twitter by the big boss of the German manufacturer, Herbert Diess.

The vehicle in the short clip released is still a draft, but it is known that the production model will retain much of the retro styling announced by the concept. However, it will be more down to earth than the latter.
The Volkswagen ID.Buzz will arrive on the North American market in 2023 as a 2024 model. With us, only the long wheelbase version will be offered. The MEB platform is the same as for all other ID models. of the company, including the ID.4 crossover.
Like this one, the standard ID.Buzz is expected to feature a rear-drive variant developing 201 horsepower and another animated all-wheel drive of 295 horsepower, with range around 400 kilometers.
The cockpit should also be more or less the same, but at the rear, there will be more space and a third row of seats. Several interior configurations will be possible, among others with the option to remove seats, according to information reported by various media.
As for the price, it will most likely be higher than that of the ID.4, which ranges from $ 44,995 to $ 49,995 before shipping costs.
