The Ukrainian president was in Germany to demand more weapons. It’s the final stop on a tour to get European aid this winter as the advance of Russian troops continues. “We believe we can force Russia to end this war,” Volodymyr Zelensky said. This initiative was met with conditions from the German chancellor. “We will not accept a peace dictated by Russia,” said Olaf Scholz.
In Spain, Pedro Sanchez called for stopping arms deliveries to Israel. The Spanish Prime Minister took advantage of a visit to the Vatican to challenge the world on the flaring conflict in the Middle East. “I urgently appeal to the international community as a whole to stop supplying arms to Netanyahu’s government”, asked the Spanish Prime Minister.
In the United Kingdom, after the documentary on the escapades of the billionaire owner of the Harrods stores, tongues were loosened. An additional 65 women have come forward, although there is no hope of a trial. Mohamed Al-Fayed died last year at age 94.
