It was Wednesday August 3 that the volcano began to act up. A huge breach has opened revealing huge lava flows. “I had to sit and cry, it’s so beautiful, so moving, it’s the raw power of our planet”, exclaims Hather Hoff, an American tourist. Although respecting a safety perimeter, each spectator can feel the heat of this sea of fire and hear the sound of the lava effusion. Warning signs, such as several earthquakes, had made this eruption predictable. The authorities call for caution to avoid gas poisoning emanating from the volcano.
