In other words, existing contracts will be terminated“.

At the same time, Germany and France signified their refusal to pay in rubles. “I confirm that contracts in euros must be paid in euros, and will be paid in euros“, said the Minister of Economy Bruno Le Maire. Russian gas represents 40% of supplies in Europe, and 17% in France. According to Nicolas Goldberg, an expert on the subject, stopping deliveries would therefore endanger the supply of certain companies.
