Jean-Yves Le Drian warns Vladimir Putin, whom he describes as “dictator”. The French Foreign Minister warned the Russian President of the potential consequences of the invasion of Ukraine, carried out since Thursday, February 24. “The Atlantic Alliance is also a nuclear alliance”, recalled Jean-Yves Le Drian on the TF1 channel. He also promised that Western sanctions would “hit the heart” Russia.

“The Ukrainians are asking for very strong humanitarian aid, that’s what we are going to do, financial aid, we have started to do that, military aid – they made a list for us and we are studying the list – and they are also asking Sanctions”explains Jean-Yves Le Drian. “The set of measures we have taken are massive and they are going to be effective, I think,” he added.
