Despite an arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court, videos falsely claim that the Russian president recently visited South Africa
At least two videos posted on TikTok and Facebook claim that Vladimir Putin visited South Africa at the end of March while the Russian president is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court . The images do indeed show a trip by the leader to this country, but they are not recent: some date from 2015, others from 2018.
