Very moved, Olivia Ruiz then spoke after singing with the students of the current season, namely Héléna, Pierre and Julien. “What a story, but what a joy to be there. I haven’t been back since the show revealed me…” she said on the verge of tears. “We created a family, and we find the real one when we leave…”.

But the arrival of Olivia Ruiz on the Star Academy set was surprising, particularly because the pretty brunette has tackled the program several times in recent years.
“We thought we knew where we were going, but everything changed along the way. That is to say that at the start, it was presented to us as being a school. TF1 denies doing reality TV in saying: We don’t do trash TV, it’s not the Loft. There, we’re on a learning center. After a few weeks, the show doesn’t work. So the center “learning is equipped in bathrooms, in bedrooms, with cameras to transform things. After three weeks, we are told: The show is going to stop, it’s not working. We can see that there is work being done in the house and then all of a sudden, things take off thanks to that. Which says a lot anyway… When you leave, you can imagine that we don’t want to ‘go look at everything that has just happened but that’s what we were told yes’ for example, she revealed live on Europe 1 radio.

Having become the author of successful novels in the meantime, Olivia Ruiz returns this year to her first love as she releases a new studio album called Reply. On this occasion, she spoke to the Belgian media Ciné Télé Revue. She thus looks back on her return to the Star Academy which caused quite a stir: “I myself can’t believe I let myself be convinced. But Nikos and Mathieu Vergne (the producer) had the right arguments. Above all, the program was no longer the same and this promotion was very endearing. I found the candidates very cute, humble, united. And I especially insisted on following them after the show. Because it was part of my feelings of anger, to have seen students in my year being abandoned after having been well used. It was ‘deal with it’ in my time. But they reassured me on that point.” she explains.
Once again, the one who sold millions of records after her appearance on the show, pulls out her claws and this time attacks Alexia Laroche-Joubert. “The former director made me wear an indecent outfit, without giving me a choice. It’s one of the rare times where I let something be imposed on me. But since the people who were the most violent with me no longer do part of the program, I no longer had a reason not to come back.”.
