Gendarmerie vehicles were set on fire on Saturday March 25 by demonstrators who came to oppose the mega-basins in Sainte-Soline (Deux-Sèvres). For several hours, until mid-afternoon, the village fields became a battlefield, drowned in tear gas. 28 gendarmes were injured, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
At least 200 demonstrators injured according to opponents of the project
On the side of the demonstrators, seven people were injured according to the authorities, including one in absolute emergency. Opponents evoke for their part at least 200 wounded.
