Vines Vins Randos 2022

VVR, Vignes Vins Randos, is the unmissable event for wine tourism in the heart of the Loire Valley vineyards. Each year, the winegrowers of the Loire Valley offer you 3 hours of relaxation, conviviality and gustatory emotions. This is a unique opportunity to discover the most beautiful wine regions, with family, friends or alone in a region listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guided by a winegrower, you set off on one of the 18 walks on offer, punctuated by tastings, food & wine pairings and discovering winemaking know-how. The perfect hiker’s kit in hand, you have all the ingredients to taste the flavors of the region and discover the riches of the Loire heritage. When you return, you are welcomed to the VVR village, in a festive and musical atmosphere. You are offered the opportunity to eat and buy the wines tasted during your walk! A fun and friendly walk, placed under the sign of the discovery of the riches of the Loire Valley.

Example of a walk in Muscadet, in the heart of the vineyards which takes hikers-tasters to discover Vallet, the capital of Muscadet and the Vallet cru. After an invigorating walk along the woods and the vines, hikers arrive at the cellar of Stéphane Orieux, pioneer of organic viticulture in Muscadet, for a first tasting. The hike continues towards a granite quarry then the vineyards of the Domaine de l’Echasserie where Mickaël Tessier, who took over the business 4 years ago, awaits hikers for a tasting of a Vallet cru. After this stop, the route takes hikers-tasters to a place called Puy Jahail. Along the way they discover an exceptional panorama of the Chaboissières before reaching the highest point of the water tower and heading towards the Basse-Charouillère where François Boulanger offers a discovery of the Valle region and viticulture at the Domaine du Moulin Camus based on the development and preservation of biodiversity. After this last stop, hikers join the friendly atmosphere of the VVR village.
