The end of year holidays are always a good time to take stock. And if this year your love life hasn’t been as full as you hoped, know that you’re not alone: your favorite stars have had heartbreaks too. A breakup is never easy… even less so when the whole planet is talking about it!
In 2023, we witnessed (helplessly) the end of many love stories, including those of duos that we thought were inseparable… In this register, we of course think of Calogero and Marie Bastide, but also of Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner, and also of course to Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire.
These couples that we thought were eternal
For their part, Toni Garrn and Alex Pettyfer, Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari who had just gotten married, Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun who had just gotten engaged also took everyone by surprise.
A hard blow for these celebrities, but especially for their children. Indeed, many couples have been forced to tackle the difficult question of caring for their little ones together when they have decided to say goodbye. This is particularly the case of Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furnes who have 2 children together, but also of Vincent Cassel and Tina Kunakey, parents of a little girl, or of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner who have two daughters.
In France, the toll is heavy
On the French side, the year was particularly cruel. Valérie Trierweiler and Romain Magellan have left each other, as have Michèle Laroque and François Baroin as well as Achraf Hakimi and Hiba Abouk. And young people are very affected by the crisis. The year was right (also) for the couple formed by Bella Hadid and Marc Kalman but also Dua Lipa and Romain Gavras.
