A 29-year-old man was shot on Saturday evening in the Ville-Marie sector, reported the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

Shots were heard around 9:50 p.m. near the intersection of Les Érables and Sherbrooke Street, in the Ville-Marie sector.
Called to the scene, the police located a 29-year-old man hit by at least one projectile in the lower body. The victim, known to the police, was transported conscious to a hospital. His life is not in danger.
According to witnesses, the man was walking on Sherbooke Street when he was approached by a suspect who fired in his direction several times. The suspect then fled on foot.
A security perimeter has been erected on rue Sherbooke between rue De Lorimier and rue Parthenais.
