On Hungarian television, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s performance did not go unnoticed in Strasbourg. At the head of the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Hungarian Prime Minister was interrupted upon his arrival by an opponent. Viktor Orbán came to the Strasbourg Parliament to preach the good word. “The European Union must change and I would like to convince you of this today” declared the Hungarian Prime Minister. His visit to Vladimir Putin when he took office last July posed a problem in the European Parliament. Obsessed with the migration issue, he wants to prevent entry into the European Union by managing the flow of requests from outside.
Since the start of summer the number of migrants arriving in the Canaries has more than doubled. We demand that all of Europe becomes concretely involved in the management of migratory flows, declared Pedro Sanchez, the Spanish Prime Minister. In Germany, bridges are collapsing due to lack of investment. Failing railway tracks. Women who work less than elsewhere. Germany was counting on growth of 0.3%, it must resign itself to a recession of 0.2%. The Minister of the Economy is nevertheless optimistic. Germany should return to growth next year.
