The French have once again responded to the polling booths. The turnout in the second round of the legislative elections was 26.63% at noon on Sunday, July 7, according to the Interior Ministry. These figures are slightly higher than in the first round on June 30, when 25.9% of voters turned out at the same time. France has not recorded such a high turnout for 43 years, with 28.3% in the second round of the 1981 legislative elections.

In details, Bouches-du-Rhône, Corrèze and Cantal are the departments that turned out the most at midday, with 34.59%, 33.88% and 33.48% participation respectively at midday. Conversely, the lowest rates are observed in Seine-Saint-Denis (12.77%), in Val-de-Marne (17.07%) and in Hauts-de-Seine (18.72%).
