This Thursday afternoon, impressive hailstorms took place in Grasse and Châteauneuf-Grasse.
The Alpes-Maritimes are still placed in yellow vigilance with regard to storms-floods. No other major disturbance is to be reported for the moment and no power cut is also to be deplored in the Grasse sector.
Many videos have been posted on social media.
In Grasse, the firefighters counted “about fifty interventions related to bad weather“. Among them, the collapse of the false ceiling of a supermarket, the rescue of a person in his vehicle and falling trees and materials. There are no victims to be deplored.
In Pégomas, the falls were also very substantial.

On the other hand, a cut on the RTE network was reported by ENEDIS in the afternoon following a lightning strike. Quickly repaired (less than 30min), it affected around 20,000 customers in the northern Alpes-Maritimes (Tinee and Vésubie valleys).
