On the sidelines of the coup d’etat in Burkina Faso which overthrew Lieutenant-Colonel Damiba, Internet users wondered about the role that France could have played based on videos of paratroopers deployed in the Burkinabe sky.
Several Internet users have published videos showing planes dropping paratroopers in the skies of Burkina Faso. They claim that this is evidence of the arrival of foreign soldiers, notably French, when a coup overthrew Lieutenant-Colonel Damiba. However, all the elements seem to indicate that these images show Burkinabè soldiers training in the economic capital of the country during the same period.
