“It’s my 50th concert, I can’t get enough of it.” Brut met the fans who are camped in front of the Stade de France while waiting for Mylène Farmer.

While Mylène Farmer’s first Parisian concert takes place this Friday, September 27, some fans have been camping for 5 weeks at the foot of the Stade de France. The goal: to have the best seat to see their idol close a historic tour. Paid leave, arrivals list… a well-oiled organization for these fans who are not new to this.

For many of these fans, their love for Mylène Farmer dates back to adolescence. “I’ve been a fan since I was fourteen,” explains Vincent. Nicolas mentions: “It’s a passion that takes hold of you.” Amélie is not at her first rodeo either: “This is my 50th concert, and I never tire of it. This show is truly the realization of his world, whether visual or musical. This is where the Farmer universe comes to life.”

These fans don’t hesitate to organize themselves meticulously to get the best seats. “Since all the tours, each time, we set up our tents several days in advance”explains Vincent. “We play the game of sleeping in it, being as close as possible to the barrier and having the space we want.” A listing system is even set up, as one fan describes it: “From the start, we organize ourselves so that each person is noted on a list in order of arrival. And we arrange the tents in the same way.”

Attending several concerts on the same tour represents a significant financial and time investment for these fans. Amélie explains: “I took two weeks off just to come here on three dates.” Nicolas even juggled “between work and waiting at the Stade de France” before taking leave. As for the budget, Amélie believes that “for the three dates here, at the Stade de France, we must be around €2,500”.
