“I’m shocked. Because it’s still weird to destroy vegetation when the vegetation hasn’t done anything” explains Isaac, when asked what planet Earth will look like when he is an adult. According to him, the Earth “suffer” Already “because of all the waste, all the pollution… I say it won’t last long”. “And even animals are hunted, trees are cut down… There are many species that have disappeared, like the dodo, although it is a nice animal. I still find it unfair to destroy something that was given to us. We still have to do something, otherwise there is a risk of nothing remaining in a few years. (…) The ice floe is melting. Polar bears, they can’t even stand on an ice cube anymore” adds Adam.

For Nina, adults have a responsibility in the future of the Earth: “It’s also our fault for doing this. I feel angry and sad because afterwards, for future generations, it would hurt them and put them in danger. And I think we should make an effort to try to stop this. (…) Adults continue to use and consume things and they make us do the same. And so they teach us to do it like that. And if we don’t learn in a different way, we won’t be able to stop afterwards. (…) Adults think that they know what to do, but children also have good ideas that they can do. And they can also do things to try to change”.
