On Monday October 23, Israeli bombings intensified on the Gaza Strip. What is the IDF’s objective? Response elements.
Never since on October 7, Gaza did not have known to such floods of fire and steel. In the past 24 hours, the Israeli army claims to have struck 320 military targets, tunnels, command centers of the Hamas. On average, one strike every five minutes. Since the start of military operations, the Hamas speaks of 5,087 deaths, including 2,000 children. “There is no longer any future in Gaza. Gaza is destroyed”says a resident.
Towards a land operation?
In 17 days of operation, there were several thousand bombings on Gaza. Entire neighborhoods were reduced to dust. The map of destruction caused by the Israeli army is eloquent. “THE Hamas moves. They carry out operations, change their organization. (…) This is why the bombings are intensifying.” exposes Peter Lernera spokesperson for the Israeli army. The list of leaders of the Islamist movement killed by Israel continues to grow. Israel’s stated goal is to eradicate Hamas.
“If we really want to eradicate Hamas and defeat it requires a ground operation”assures the Reserve General Yosef Kuperwasser. Unless Israel changes its strategic objectives, a ground operation seems inevitable.
