VIDEO. Valérie Pécresse presents a “totally equal” team … with two-thirds of men

Of the 90 people in the official campaign organization chart of Valérie Pécresse, there are 31 women, for 59 men. Two-thirds of men, far from the exemplarity claimed by the candidate.

Asked in the show C to You on January 4, Valérie Pécresse stresses that she had to integrate the 4 other candidates for the primary of the Republicans, and personalities of the party, often men. For the rest, she maintains: “if ! it is completely equal, on all the posts of speaker, organization, the thematic poles.

But here again, contrary to what the candidate claims, she has more speakers (19) than female speakers (16). More counselors (20) than counselors (6). Only the spokespersons are equal: three men, three women.

Traveling on January 6, the deputy Julien Aubert, spokesperson for Valérie Pécresse recognizes that the account is not there, but affirms that there is progress: “I find that on the contrary, it is rather much better than what existed before. When you take the group to the National Assembly, it is made up of 25% women, 75% men. At some point you also do with the people you have. ”

What about the other campaign teams? Two of them have a majority of women: this is the case with Yannick Jadot and Anne Hidalgo. Conversely at Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour, women are in the minority. A choice assumed in the team of Eric Zemmour, who writes to us: “parity is not a topic: we choose people for their skills. “Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s team has provided us with an organization chart which respects parity between men and women, but which is still incomplete, she explains.

To date, not all candidates have disclosed their entire campaign team. The eye of the 20 o’clock will therefore remain open in the coming weeks.
