Seeing the amount of litter along the roads gave him the idea for this app. Rémi created TrashBack, in order to motivate as many people as possible to pick up litter, while consuming locally. Brut met him.

The user, the more waste he collects, the more points he earns and these accumulated points can be exchanged for vouchers with partners.” 7 months ago, Rémi created the TrashBack application. Wishing to motivate people to collect more waste, it allows, thanks to its system, to transform their gesture into shopping vouchers. “Generally, it’s a minimum of 100 points, so we’ll say about 30 minutes of garbage collection. We have vouchers of 5 euros, 10 euros, 20 euros or we have a percentage on the partner site directly”, he explains.

“The goal is to create a whole family around eco-responsibility”

As a craftsman and as a resident of a small countryside, surrounded by farmers, we consumed and we still consume as locally as possible. So we had the little local farmer who made his eggs, his meat, his potatoes, his strawberries. We really tried to have local consumption. So I thought, ‘Why not link the two together?’ On the one hand to promote collection and on the other to transform its consumption”, explains Rémi.

Everything that is produced in France with as much eco-responsibility as possible is much more expensive than if you go to buy from a large distributor. So the goal was really to be able to give access to all types of people who have different budgets to obtain the same products as us.”, adds Rémi. “The goal is to create a whole family around eco-responsibility and to promote made in France, French manufacturing and French raw materials, to really promote the short circuit as much as possible and zero waste consumption.
