At the Jean Jaurès college, in Pantin in Seine-Saint-Denis, 22 students and their teachers took up the challenge of crossing Normandy by bike. With such a sports project, they want to present their play which talks about ecology and the environment.

Departing from Cherbourg, the students of the Jaurès college challenged themselves to pedal for around 300 kilometers before reaching their final destination, the Mont Saint Michel.

Having students cycle 300 kilometers is the idea that a former PE teacher from the Jaurès college, located in Pantin, in Seine-Saint-Denis, had.

“He was a nature enthusiast, who was transferred to Jaurès in Pantin. He had the idea for this project, because he was a bit of a specialist in everything that was outdoor activity”confides Marine Bellot, PE teacher.

Created in 2013, the project aims to support students in taking on a sporting challenge. “We especially encourage difficult students to apply. From students who we feel are moving away a little”.

During their journey, they also take the opportunity to present their play on ecology, a play “which they prepared for six months.
