“We have to prepare for it with a lot of determination,” declared the President of the Republic on Saturday, as he inaugurated the Agricultural Show.

“The war will last, this crisis will last” and will have “consequences on the agricultural world”. Emmanuel Macron launched this warning, Saturday February 26, by inaugurating the Salon de l’agriculture, in Paris, repeating twice that “War is back in Europe”.

The President of the Republic considered that the conflict, “chosen unilaterally” by Vladimir Putin, will have consequences for French exports, mentioning “wine outlets” or cereals. The crisis will continue and “We need to prepare for it with a lot of determination, a lot of solidarity”added the Head of State, assuring that a “resilience plan” was under development.

Due to the Russian offensive in Ukraine, the Head of State was forced to cut short the long visit initially planned. However, he spoke for about twenty minutes on Saturday morning for this highly political meeting, which is even more so during a year of presidential campaign.
