This is a striking figure: one in three divorced parents does not correctly receive their alimony, even though it is decided by the courts. In nine out of ten cases, the victims of these unpaid bills, approximately 300,000 people, are women. Often in difficult social situations.
How to convince parents to pay their dues?
To cope with this distress, the Family Allowance Funds are now responsible for recovering and paying back these maintenance payments. These CAF agents, by consulting numerous files and making numerous phone calls, try to convince bad payers to pay their dues. But with what results? From the small villages of Tarn-et-Garonne to the offices of CAF agents in Toulouse, we conducted the survey in Occitania.
