A year ago, Michel Zecler was violently attacked by police officers on duty. Since then, he has been trying to rebuild himself, physically and psychologically. Brut found him.

A year after his assault by the police, Michel Zecler agreed to testify to Brut, in particular about his physical and psychological state. Even today, he continues his physical reconstruction with a physiotherapist, in particular to repair his tendon which had been severely affected by the blows. “The tendon, he had let go, he had retracted and had come up to the level of the shoulder“, explains Michel Zecler. Thanks to this rehabilitation, he confides being able to make seemingly harmless gestures such as holding a bottle of water.”I can move my arm, I can get into a semblance of normalcy“, he breathes.
Michel Zecler is also psychologically followed for, there too, “normalize things“.”When there are abnormal things going on, like during my assault, well, the brain, it doesn’t follow“, he confides. He shares, among other things, the absences he often makes. Today, Michel Zecler is waiting to be able to be confronted with his attackers and hopes so”turn the page“.
