A week ago, the first Ukrainian refugees arrived in Fougerolles-du-Plessis, 1,200 inhabitants. For most women and children whose husbands stayed to fight. Here, twelve dwellings have been listed to accommodate them: guest rooms and second homes.
A network of solidarity
Solidarity is organized and a kitty has been opened. Donations arrive and local traders respond, supplying the refugees with vouchers given to them. In the neighboring town, a college is ready to welcome the children who are about to arrive, and the director receives the Ukrainian parents already there, to reassure them…
