Mattel has just unveiled the new models of the Barbie companion. He now wears slim pants and patterned T-shirts.
After Barbie, it’s Ken’s turn to be modernized. Forget the slicked back hair and ultrabright smile of Ken of the early 1960s. Now the most famous doll’s companion wears a “man bun”, afro braids or curls. The same goes for the outfit with a very hipster tone: Ken now has the choice between slim pants, a checked shirt and a patterned T-shirt.
The manufacturer Mattel went even further. As he had done for Barbie, Ken adapts to changes in society. In addition to being available in several skin colors, you will have the choice between Ken slim, muscular or classic version. This modernization comes at a time when the American manufacturer is experiencing a strong erosion of its turnover.
